Elections

**The last day to change party will be December 30, 2014 (form(s) must be submitted to our office by closing on December 30,  2014) or after the May primary election**

Voter Registration Details:

  • The last day to register to vote for the November 4, 2014 Election will be October 6, 2014. The last day to change party, address and register will be October 6, 2014 (form(s) must be submitted to our office by closing on October 6,  2014).
  • Absentee applications must be received by ,October 28, 2014.
  • The Absentee voting machine will be open starting October 20, 2014 (Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm and November 1 9:00am – 12:00pm) for person(s) that meet one of the following criteria:
  1. Person who due to age, disability, or illness will be unable to go to the polls on election day.
  2. Student who temporarily resides outside the county in which he is registered. Must be mailed to an out-of-county address.
  3. Voter who temporarily resides outside the state but who is still eligible to vote in this state. Must be mail to an out-of-state address.
  4. Person whose employment location requires him to be absent from the county all hours and all days absentee voting by machine is conducted.
  5. Military personnel confined to a military base on election day.

To be eligible to register to vote, you must:
Be a citizen of the United States
Be 18 or older on or before the General Election
Not be a convicted felon. If you have been convicted of a felony, your civil rights must have been restored.
Not have been judged “mentally incompetent” in a court of law.
