Issues with 2021 Property Tax Bills
It has come to my attention that on specific tax bills mailed out there was an error. For the property owners who are taxed in the Harlan City School District, the county school tax was added in addition to the City School tax I want to apologize for this mistake. The incorrect bills are approximately 1600 of the 16,000 mailed out county wide. The cause of this issue stems from my office having to acquire a new printing source for our tax bills because our long time vendor who handled the bill printing passed away suddenly last month. I have already made arrangements to have the incorrect bills reprinted and they will be mailed out as soon as possible. If you have any questions please contact my office at 573-3636.
Thank you for your understanding,
