Please arrive at the office no later than 4:15 PM with all required paperwork (including paper copy of insurance and current registration) to allow our staff time to process your transaction. For out of state transfers you must arrive before 4:00 PM to allow time for vehicle inspection by the Sheriff's office. If you arrive after these times or do not have all your paperwork needed you will be asked to return on the next business day to allow our staff sufficient time to process your transaction.
Military and Overseas Voting
Federal Postcard Application
Voters who need to cast a mail-in ballot due to military service or voters who live overseas may also apply for a ballot through the Federal Voting Assistance Program (www.fvap.gov) or the State Board of Elections.
Criteria for Voters eligible to use the Federal Postcard Application:
A U. S. citizen temporarily residing outside the U.S.
A U. S. citizen overseas by virtue of employment or accompanying spouse or dependent.
Other U. S. citizen residing outside the U. S.
Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot
The Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB, SF 186) is for use by Service members, their eligible family members living outside their voting jurisdiction and U.S. citizens residing overseas. This write-in absentee ballot can be used as a backup when you are living outside your voting residence, have applied for a regular State ballot through the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA, SF 76) and have not received the requested State ballot in time to vote by the election deadline.
Criteria for Voters eligible to use the Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot:
A member of the Uniformed Services or merchant marine on active duty, or an eligible spouse or dependent.
A U. S. citizen temporarily residing outside the U.S.
A U. S. citizen overseas by virtue of employment or accompanying spouse or dependent.
